Filming for the fifth season of Stranger Things has been ongoing for more than three months. The Duffer Brothers, eager to celebrate Will Bayer’s birthday on March 22, shared new photos from the final episodes. One of them reveals an important detail of the plot of the last episode.

The Stranger Things creator shared new photos from the set of the latest season in honor of actor Will Byers’ birthday on March 22.
These pictures show the character played by Noah Schnapp. The first photo shows Will’s updated look, and the second shows an interesting detail that reveals the plot of the final season.
In this photo, Schnapp lies next to the young actor, who is wearing the suit worn by Will in the first season, when he found himself on “The Upside Down”, a dark reflection of our world.
Apparently, the scene takes place in a forest base that Will built where he was hiding from the monsters lurking outside.
This hints that season 5 will feature flashbacks revealing events that happened to Will during his time on The Upside Down.
So far, little is known about what happened to the hero after his return from the dark dimension, but the creators promise that Will will again play a key role and become a character who will connect all the events of the fifth season.
When will season 5 of Stranger Things be released?
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is not expected to premiere until late summer or fall 2025.
Filming for the final season did not begin until January 8th of this year, which is seven months later than the original planned date set by Netflix. Plans to begin filming in June 2023 were disrupted by a strike of actors and writers.
In one of her last interviews, Millie Bobby Brown confirmed that there are still 9 months left before the end of filming. And it is important to remember that after filming is completed, the post-production process will begin. The preparation of special effects, which will be more numerous than in the fourth season, will take several more months.
