Foundation Season 3 has been officially confirmed, providing exciting details about the upcoming episodes of the expansive and intricate high science fiction TV series.
The show, available on Apple TV Plus, explores the narrative of a mighty galactic empire facing imminent collapse. It follows the endeavors of scientists, adventurers, and colonists as they strive to establish a faction, the Foundation, aiming to endure the impending dark age.
Filming
The third season of Apple TV+’s science fiction series ‘Foundation’ is gearing up to resume filming in the Czech Republic and Spain next month. David S. Goyer, the show’s creator, along with Josh Friedman, who adapted Isaac Asimov’s book series, remains the showrunner. Alex Graves, credited with directing seven episodes of the series thus far, is set to continue his role as a director.
Foundation season 3 release date
«Foundation» has been officially renewed for a 3 season. While the announcement was not immediate after the conclusion of Season 2, Apple TV+ confirmed the renewal on December 5.
Given the past release patterns, with the first season in 2021 and the second in the latter part of 2023, it’s suggested that there might be a longer gap between seasons. Fans may need to wait until at least 2025, and possibly even 2026, for the release of Season 3.
