Despicable Me 4 is one of the most highly anticipated upcoming movies headed to theaters in summer 2024, and the next installment in Illumination’s supervillain franchise could be one of Gru’s wildest adventures yet.

The fourth part will continue the story of the supervillain Gru (in the original he is voiced by Steve Carrell). In the first film, Gru adopted three girls, in the second he found love in Lucy Wilde (Kristen Wiig), and in the third he found his lost twin brother Drew.

Despicable Me 4 Story

The film is expected to continue the story of former villain Gru, who is now a family man and tries to balance his role as a father with his work in the League of Anti-Villains. It is likely that Gru and his family will have to face a new enemy in the person of Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend Valentina.

Universal Pictures and Illumination have set the Despicable Me 4 release date for July 3, 2024. Despicable Me 4 will be a sequel to Despicable Me 3 (2017), the fourth main installment and sixth installment in the Despicable Me franchise.

Where Can Watch?

Despicable Me 4 is set to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors with a traditional theatrical release on its stated date. While there is currently no confirmation of a streaming release, Universal films typically release on Peacock. Thus, there is a high possibility that Despicable Me 4 will be available on Peacock sometime after its theatrical release.
